Rivet Granite Necklace

Description

A granite necklace featuring a silver bar with statement salt casting, held by an 18ct gold vermeil rivet.  Varying weights of chain give the necklace interest and a contemporary look.  The chain is adjustable between 18″ and 19″ with a handmade clasp.

This collection has been inspired by water and the ocean.  Each shape is made using recycled silver and cast into Atlantic Ocean seawater.  The result is these fluid unique and organic shapes. Some of the casts are reminiscent of water droplets or splashes on rocks, others of sea beans – seed pods that move around the ocean and can be carried for thousands of miles between continents.  The bar has been textured on the granite along the Cornish coast.
