Salt Brooch Pendant

Description

A unique and eye-catching salt brooch pendant with warm guilding metal, framing the silver salt water casting. Thoughtfully designed with dual pins for a secure fit, it sits close to the fabric when worn.  The brooch has been designed to be multifunctional, also to be worn as a pendant with an easily detachable chain which can be worn separately.

This collection has been inspired by water and the ocean.  Each shape is made using recycled silver and cast into Atlantic Ocean seawater.  The result is these fluid unique and organic shapes. Some of the casts are reminiscent of water droplets or splashes on rocks, others of sea beans – seed pods that move around the ocean and can be carried for thousands of miles between continents.
